City of Clawson ha assegnato questo problema a Code Enforcement

The pile(s) of dirt have been there for a couple months. This "project" does not look up to code or in posession of a permit.

On November 16th City of Clawson Code Enforcement Officer did inspect the rear yard for the "dirt pile, pool, fence" and the side yard for the "vehicle". Results: 1) Vehicle can be parked on the side temporarily as it is licensed and legal. When the dirt and rear yard is in compliance, the red vehicle will be returned to the driveway area. 2) Male in yard at time of inspection is removing dirt and asking if anyone wants some of it.
3) The cyclone fence that surrounds the property is "required when a pool
is installed and that is fine." Code is keeping up with dirt reduction.

How long is temporarily? Pile of dirt still there, car still on side of house and now we've added a beautiful blue tarp draped across the fence. (maybe to hide backyard mess). Corner properties are looked at from two sides and should take pride in there yards.

This resident has made no effort to remove the dirt or "give it away" since this has been posted. I drive past this house every day and it has not changed. He/she needs a citation to let them know the city is serious. Clawson is starting to look like a low rent city. I take pride in living in Clawson. Please don't let a few lazy people ruin this for everyone else.

Also, please keep in mind that winter is upon us. That large pile of dirt is going to become a frozen mass in the coming weeks. I don't thing this person is going to rent construction equipment to get rid of it.

From the Building Department - a pool permit is not given to the applicant unless there is an exterior fence and gate with locking mechanism that is self closing. The vehicle (red) is temporarily on the west side of the house and is licensed, it is there until the vehicles will all be back in the driveway.
City Code Officer has expressed the need to level/give away the dirt in a timely manner and it is being monitored. Ability to use the dirt for a garden in the future or continuing to give it away is working.

Thank you for the reply, but until the complaints are fixed I don't think this should be closed. Pool, ok fine if that's what the city excepts, great. Would think a closer fence to a "so close to the ground" pool would be required. This would prevent kids and animaIs accidentally falling in, but whatever. I was asking how long is temporary? I have to say it's nice to know that we can park our cars on the sides of our houses as long as they are plated and we deem it temporary! What about the tarp? or has it now been removed. Then again I guess if it's temporary it's OK. We ALL enjoy looking at this stuff!

This house was compromised by both CPD & Troy's P D, a shoot out, & death occurred..(march 5, 2014 about 20:40)
windows broken & knocked out. Was boarded up for quite a while. I didnt hear any complaints, (I just thought how do you move into a house, knowing? or not knowing, till a neighbor tells you....)
To me, it is nice to see someone living in the house that was compromised. Looks like a family, with family activity taking place. Having said this, I also started watching this corner last summer. then this pass summer, I saw activity, wondering where it was going. I think this Dad, has bite off more then he can do, in a reasonable time. To make ends meet, he is a "do it yourselfer" still, being in a city, has to abide by the ordinances, of course......nice to see all the boards off the windows. least we forget, what it looked like for a long time. The City will work with the family, I am confident.

what is nice, I am not personal to it, I am not worried so much about the dirt, as I am the open area, not fenced in. There are vehicles parked on grass right on Custer.

After the shoot out the house was being worked on. People were always coming and going. Plus, people knew a tragedy had happened. Now, the red car just sits at the side of house and the dirt pile has been there for months. Now, it is a large snow covered dirt pile. It is such an eye sore!! Code enforcement was out before Thanksgiving! Is anything being done?

You mean the Sanford & Son corner? I've seen the car moved to the backyard sorta or is it on the side again temporarily? Not sure they can shut the gate now. Garage is empty! The lovely green tarp was still over fence like a homemade privacy fence so you can't see the pile of snow covered dirt. Mailbox was hanging by one side only. It just keeps getting worse.

The only upside to this is that the city will have one heck of a time hassling anyone else about "code violations". I'll be keeping this case in mind when I renovate my house in the spring.

what about the really large piles of dirt, a couple of blocks away, with no fencing around the big hole in the ground......... ??

different location?...maybe you should do your own See, Click, Fix on that issue. Just saying!

The City of Clawson Code Officer did 5 inspections and had legal counsel regarding 415 Phillips. 1) the red vehicle, licensed, was moved from the West side of the house per the request by this Officer 2) counsel states there is no violation of a pile of dirt sitting on the ground; that part of the SeeClickFix has been discussed, no violation, and closed. 3) there is a fence around the perimeter of the parcel at 415 Phillips. This issue has no further action on behalf of Code Enforcement.
